Third Period Offense Powers Bullies Over Renegades

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Down 2-1 early in the second period, Atlantic City answered with four even-strength third period tallies to defeat the visiting Richmond Renegades by a final of 5-2 on Wednesday night.

Bullies blueliner Ian Walterson tapped in a rocket shot by captain Stefan Rivard. Jim Henkel extended his league-leading scoring streak to 22 games with an insurance goal to put the Bullies up by two approaching the middle mark of the third frame. Henkel now has 36 points on 13 goals and 23 assists in 22 games dating from December 18, 2002.

Paul Spadafora finished the game with three points (1G, 2A), earning the first star of the game and J.F. Caudron netted a goal and added an assist for two points and now has 20 points (12G, 10A) in his last eight games.

Matt Yeats stopped 33 Richmond shots, including all 10 in the third period to earn his sixth win in his last seven games.
