April 13, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Toledo Mud Hens News Release

The Mud Hens won their second game of the season on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field by a score of 3-0 over the Indianapolis Indians. RHP Michael Fulmer shined in his Mud Hens debut, pitching 5 2/3 innings while fanning seven. He allowed only four hits, one walk, and no earned runs on 83 total pitches.

2B Dixon Machado got the scoring going in the bottom of the first inning when he stole home, marking the first time a Hens base runner has done so since Xavier Avery on May 7 of last season. Machado continued his solid evening of work when he scored from second base via a single off the bat of RF Steven Moya, as well as a run off a hit from 3B Casey McGehee (2-3). Machado finished the night with two stolen bases, going 1-2 with two walks and three runs scored.

On a rehab assignment from the Detroit Tigers, OF Cameron Maybin went 0-4 while grounding into a double play. RHP Alex Wilson will see action with Toledo tomorrow, also on a rehab assignment from Detroit.

Pitching in relief for Toledo were LHP Drake Britton, RHP Michael Crotta, RHP Bobby Parnell, with RHP Bruce Rondon as the closer. They combined for five strikeouts and two hits.

The Mud Hens are back in action for the second and final game of the series against the Indianapolis Indians at Fifth Third Field tomorrow at 6:35 p.m. You may purchase tickets here.
