Fresno Falcons News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 0-2-0 OVERALL RECORD: 1-6-1, 3 pts.

November 5 vs. Alaska, 4-1 Loss - Trailing 1-0 early in the third, the Falcons' John Wroblewski tallied his first of the year to even the game at one. Alaska's Charles Linglet took over from there, though, scoring the game-winning goal and recording two assists in the game's final 12:30 to deliver a 4-1 win for the Aces.

November 6 vs. Alaska, 2-1 Loss - In the finale of a two-game set, the Aces again took a 1-0 first period lead, but this time Derek Krestanovich tied the game for Fresno less than two minutes later. The Falcons yielded the eventual game-winner mid-way through the middle period and, despite great pressure in the final moments of the game with their goaltender pulled, never found the equalizer in a 2-1 loss.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Tuesday, Nov. 9 vs. Toledo, 7 p.m. - The Falcons face their first non-divisional foe when the North Division's Toledo Storm visit Save Mart Center during the season's first Two-for-Tuesday. Fans can pick-up their two-for-one coupons to the game at participating Carl's Jr. restaurants.

Saturday, Nov. 13 vs. Victoria, 7 p.m. - The expansion Salmon Kings make their second visit to Save Mart Center. Little E, the world's smallest Elvis impersonator, will perform throughout the game and delight the crowd with his lip-syncin', hip shakin', drivin' the girls crazy, hunka hunka tribute to the King of Rock 'n' Roll.

NOTES

. Captain Dan Tessier leads Fresno in scoring with six points (1g-5a).

. Both of the Falcons' goaltenders have save percentages above the 90% threshold. After making 25 saves in Friday's loss, Brett Jaeger has stopped 92.1% of the pucks he has seen in two starts, and Simon Lajeunesse's 32 saves on Saturday lifted his save percentage to 90.1%.

. Fresno is 18th (12.2%) on the power play and 25th (76.4%) on the penalty kill.

. The Falcons begin the week in eighth place in the West Division, seven points behind the first-place Bakersfield Condors and Idaho Steelheads.
