
Ice Pilots Win 3 of 4 Games - Off To 5-1 Record

The Pensacola Ice Pilots won three out of four games this past week to improve their record to 5-1. The Ice Pilots defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves in Biloxi this past week 5-0. Todd Ford, who made his pro debut in goal, picked up the shutout win for the Ice Pilots stopping 30 shots. Five different players scored for the Ice Pilots. Dwayne Hay, Tyler Beechey, Chris St. Jacques, Kris Newbury and Cam Keith.
The Ice Pilots lost to Louisiana on Friday night at home 6-4. The Ice Pilots were down 3-1 only to tie the game at 3 but Louisiana went on to win 6-4. Corey Neilson, Bill Kinkel, Cam Keith and Jordan Krestanovich scored the goals for the Ice Pilots. Frederic Clouter was the losing goalie stopping 35 out of 40 shots.
The Ice Pilots won in overtime at Louisiana 3-2. Chris St. Jacques deflected in a shot by Corey Neilson :54 seconds into the overtime on a power play for the game winning goal. Dwayne Hay and Jordan Krestanovich also scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie stopping 28 out of 30 shots.
The Ice Pilots finished the week with a dramatic 4-3 win vs. Augusta on Sunday. Jordan Krestanovich scored the game winning goal with 13 seconds left to go in regulation time. Chris St. Jacques, Kris Newbury and Aaron Phillips also scored for the Ice Pilots. Todd Ford was the wining goalie stopping 22 out of 25 shots.
5-1 record ties best start in franchise history: The Ice Pilots 5-1 record matches last season's 5-1 start which is the best in franchise history after six games. The Ice Pilots lost the first game last season and won five straight only to lose their seventh game. No Ice Pilots team has started the season off at 6-1 after seven games.
Ice Pilots play home on Friday vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will play the Gwinnett Gladiators this Friday night at 7:05 p.m. It will be Gwinnett's first trip to "The Hangar" during the regular season. The Ice Pilots split a pair of games vs. Gwinnett at home during the pre-season this year. The Ice Pilots have an all-time record of 1-1 vs. Gwinnett as both games were played at Gwinnett last season.
Nextel Can For a Cause Holiday Food Drive is this Friday: Friday night's home game vs. Gwinnett is Nextel Can For a Cause Holiday Food Drive. Fans who bring two non-perishable canned goods to the Ice Pilots home game on Friday will receive three dollars off a ticket. The discount is only good on game day at the Civic Center box office. The first 1,000 fans who donate canned goods will also receive an Ice Pilots/Nextel Megaphone.

Leading Scorers: Ice Pilots Jordan Krestanovich leads the team in scoring with 10 points and with 5 goals including 2 game winners. Krestanovich is currently third in the league in scoring with is 10 points and third in the league with his 5 goals. Tyler Beechey leads the team in assists with 7 and is second in scoring with 9 points. Beechey's 7 assists ties him among the league leaders for first. Corey Neilson is third on the team in scoring with 7 points and is tied for first in the league in scoring among defenseman. Bill Kinkel is third in the league with 47 penalty minutes. Todd Ford is currently eight in the league with a 1.50 goals against average. The Ice Pilots start the week with the second best power play at 28.5 percent.
Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Jordan Krestanovich has been nominated for the ECHL player of the week. Krestanovich scored three goals including the game winner vs. Augusta on Sunday. Todd Ford has bee n nominated for the ECHL goalie of the week. Ford made 30 saves in his pro debut at Mississippi last Tuesday with a 5-0 shutout win and was the winning goalie vs. Augusta on Sunday stopping 22 out of 25 shots. Ford has been named the Dodge/Ice Pilots Player of the Week.
Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Jordan Krestanovich is the Ice Pilots top scorer after six games with 10 points. Tyler Beechey is second with 9 points and Corey Neilson is third with 7 points.
GEICO Three Stars of the Game: GEICO will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots Three Stars of the Game once again on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network this season and at every home game. Three lucky fans at home games will receive a t-shirt from the GEICO Three Stars of the Game this season. Group Tickets: Group tickets are available at the Ice Pilots office. A group of 15-24 will receive $2 off per ticket and scoreboard, public announcement recognition. A group of 25-99 will receive $2 off per ticket, scoreboard, public announcement recognition, the group leader receive two free tickets with a minimum of 25 tickets purchased and group members are eligible to become an MVP. Each group member fills out the MVP card and drops the card in the MVP box at customer service before the game and has the opportunity to win a valuable prize! Groups of 100 or more will receive scoreboard, public announcement recognition, two free tickets, MVP cards plus $3 off per ticket and an opportunity to perform the national anthem or participate in the ceremonial puck drop (Subject to availability and approval).

Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have six players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury and left wing Cam Keith.
Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Listen to games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. The pre-game show for Friday's home game vs. Gwinnett begins at 6:50 p.m.
Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. The next web cast is offer on Friday, November 19th when the Ice Pilots play at Texas at 7:05 p.m.
