LAST WEEK: Pee Dee was 1-1-1 last week, moving its overall record to 5-2-1 for 11 points. The Pride are in first place in the East Division, one point ahead of Charlotte, and are tied with Gwinnett for the most points in the ECHL.

Tuesday, November 2 v. Greenville Grrrowl 2 PRIDE 1 (SO)

Despite outshooting the Grrrowl 41-15, the Pride came out on the short end of the scoreboard. Colin Pepperall gave Greenville an early lead with a power-play goal just 3:43 into the contest. It remained that way until 7:08 remained in the game when a power-play goal by Allan Sirois tied the game at 1. In the shootout, the Grrrowl's first shooter, Ed Caron, was the only shooter able to score, giving Greenville the win.

Friday, November 5 @ Columbia Inferno 3 PRIDE 0

The Inferno scored one goal in each period on their way to a shutout victory. John Longo scored the night's first goal at 15:20 of the first period as Steve Slaton's shot hit off his back and deflected into the net. Columbia took a 2-0 lead at 17:34 of the second as Brad Ralph one-timed a shot past Sebastien Laplante. Longo set the final at 7:51 of the third, converting on a 2-on-1 rush for his second goal of the night.

Sunday, November 7 @ Greenville PRIDE 7 Grrrowl 6

The Pride trailed 4-0 after one period and 5-1 midway through the second period. But, four unanswered goals in the final 9:47 of the second period tied the game at 5 through two. Allan Sirois scored just 1:38 into the final period to give the Pride their first lead of the afternoon. Greenville tied the game at 12:05 on Ed Caron's second goal of the game. Pee Dee took the lead for good just three minutes later on a Brian Collins slap shot, his second goal of the game.

The Pride and Stingrays meet for the second and third times this season. Thursday's game was rescheduled from March 4 due to a scheduling conflict at the North Charleston Coliseum. South Carolina won the first meeting this season, 5-2, at North Charleston on October 26. The Stingrays enter this week 4-3-1 for 9 points and are tied with Columbia for third place in the East Division.

Saturday, November 13 v. Columbia 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

The Pride and Inferno meet for the second of ten times this season, and for the first time at the Lion's Den. Columbia is 3-2-3 for 9 points and is tied with South Carolina for third place in the East Division.

PROMOTIONS: NASCAR Night, presented by Darlington Raceway. Prior to the game, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be in the civic center parking lot from 5-7. Fans can have their picture taken with a $1 donation to the Pride Youth Hockey Association. Nextel Cup Series driver Ward Burton will be in attendance at the game, and will drop the ceremonial first puck. During the second intermission, the Pride will hold the eighth annual Wiener Dog Nationals and the third annual Boys & Girls Club Boxcar Race. It's also Boy Scout Night at the Lion's Den. Boy Scouts will be on the concourse prior to the game, collecting canned food items for the annual Scouting for Food drive. Discounted group tickets are available for all area Boy Scout Packs. The first 1,000 fans in attendance receive a free coozie courtesy of Micky Finn's.

PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY

Tuesday, November 9

The Pride, Outback Steakhouse and Honda of South Carolina are teaming up for their second annual golf tournament, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area. The tournament is at Governor's Run Golf Club in Lamar, with lunch served at 11:15, and a shotgun start at 12:15. Teams are filling up fast. Wednesday, November 10

Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Joe Babik will be at Wallace-Gregg Elementary School from 1:00 until 2:00 to speak at Career Day.

PRIDE NOTES

- Sunday's game marked the fourth time this season that the Pride have had at least 36 shots on goal in a game. Pee Dee is 15th in the league, averaging 31.13 shots per game. On the defensive side, the Pride allow the fourth fewest shots, giving up an average 25.50 shots per contest.

- After seeing his season-opening six-game point streak end on Friday at Columbia, Brian Collins started a new streak on Sunday. Collins had two goals and an assist in the win over the Grrrowl, and now ranks second in the ECHL in both goals (6) and points (11).

- The Pride scored two shorthanded goals in Sunday's win at Greenville, and now lead the league with four shorthanded tallies on the season.

- After having just one goal from their defensemen through the first seven games of the season, the Pride had two blueliners (Darryl Green and Tyler Kindle) find the back of the net on Sunday.

HOCKEY TONIGHT SIGNS

The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride's next home game is Saturday, November 13 at 7:30 against the Columbia Inferno.
