The Johnstown Chiefs (2-0-4; 8 PTS; T-5th North div.) remain unbeaten in regulation through the first three weeks of the season as they went 1-0-1 last week. Friday , the Chiefs beat defending Northern division champion Reading and lost in a shootout Saturday night at Trenton. This week the Chiefs will play three games in four nights beginning Wednesday night when they travel to Trenton. Friday and Saturday night, the Chiefs will host the Peoria Rivermen.

GAME #5 (11/5/04) JOHNSTOWN 2 - Reading 1 Currie 41 Saves

Chad Cavanagh's goal with 9:15 left to go in the third period lifted the Chiefs to a 2-1 home win Friday night over the Reading Royals at the War Memorial Arena. After two scoreless periods the Chiefs jumped on the scoreboard first as Evgeny Lazarev tallied his first goal of the season at 3:58. Reading's David Masse tied the game just 1:23 later with his first goal of the season. Chiefs goaltender David Currie was the games number one star making 41 saves including 20 in the first period. Royals goaltender Cody Rudkowsky made 23 saves in the contest.

GAME #6 (11/6/04) TRENTON 3 - Johnstown 2 (SO) Kelly Two Goals

Brent Kelly had a pair of goals for the Chiefs Saturday night but it was not enough as the Chiefs fell in a shootout to the Trenton Titans 3-2. Scott Bertoli and Nick Deschenes scored for Trenton. Chiefs goaltender David Currie made 45 saves in the contest as Trenton out shot the Chiesf 49-31.

Wednesday, the Chiefs travel to Trenton (5-0-0, 10 PTS; 1st North div.) for the second time in five days. The Chiefs are 0-0-1 versus the Titans this season and 16-19-3 all-time. The Titans are one of two undefeated teams in the ECHL (Bakersfield). The Titans have out scored their opponents 15-7 this season.

Friday and Saturday night the Chefs will host the Peoria Rivermen (2-1-2, 6 PTS; 7th North div.) for the first and second of eight games this season between the two teams. Last season, the Chiefs were 4-1-3 versus the Rivermen. Peoria is currently in seventh place in the Northern division. The Chiefs are 21-27-6 all-time versus the Rivermen.
