December 27, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Stockton Heat News Release
San Jose, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL's Calgary Flames, announce that forward Mitchell Heard has been recalled from the Adirondack Thunder, the team's ECHL affiliate. He will be available for tonight's game in San Jose.
Heard, 23, signed with the Heat during the offseason and played for the team in the preseason before being assigned to Adirondack on October 20. The Bowmanville, Ontario native played in 23 games for Adirondack this season scoring 9 goals and adding 14 assists for 23 points, good enough for second on the team behind fellow Heat prospect Michael Kirkpatrick (24 points).
The forward is recalled after his best game of the season last night at home against the Manchester Monarchs as Heard scored 2 goals and added 2 assists for his second-ever four-point night in the ECHL. This season, Heard has recorded five multi-point nights for the team including that four-point night and a three-point night earlier in the season.
The Heat return home to Stockton Arena on Tuesday, December 29 for Kids Take Over. The first 500 kids 12-years-old and younger will receive a FREE Stockton Heat t-shirt. For tickets call 209-373-1500 or visit StocktonHeat.com.
