
French Activated from DL, Vuluntarily Retires

Trenton Thunder News Release
(TRENTON NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced today that INF Neall French has been activated from the disabled list, and will voluntarily retire.
French, 26, broke camp with Trenton, but did not see action in any games this season. Last year, for Single-A Charleston, French batted .238 with 2 HR and 22 RBI over 64 games played. He was signed by the New York Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on February 14, 2008.
The Thunder will now travel to Manchester New Hampshire to play a Memorial Day weekend series with the Fisher Cats, starting on Friday night at 7:05 PM. RHP David Phelps starts for Trenton, while New Hampshire goes with RHP Zach Stewart.
