ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves look to avoid their longest losing streak of the season as they attempt to salvage the final game of a four-game series against the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) at Waterfront Park. The Howlers were one-out away from snapping a seven-game slide last night when Brandon Laird connected on a game-winning, two run home run off Luis Marte. It was the first runs allowed by Marte since April 15. The SeaWolves are now a game under .500 for the first time since May 4 when the club was 12-13. Erie has slipped from first to fourth place in the Western Division in the last eight days. The Howlers are now 7.5 games behind first place Altoona...Trenton continues to be one of the hottest teams in the EL winning seven of its last 10. Trenton is a half game behind first place New Hampshire in the Eastern Division...Erie sends righty Brooks Brown to the mound making his 13th appearance and third start of the season. He was roughed up for seven runs on seven hits in two innings of work in his last start against Altoona. Brown has appeared once against Trenton and tossed a scoreless inning in relief of April 10...RHP Hector Noesi takes the mound for Trenton. Noesi is making his second start for Trenton. In his first start he took a no-decision against Portland going six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts...The SeaWolves are 0-7 at Waterfront Park and the club is 2-12 in Trenton dating back to 2008.
