
Free Independence Day Fireworks July 3rd at Boomers Stadium

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Highlighted by a chance to taking Batting Practice on the field and a movie on the new videoboard, the Schaumburg Boomers welcome all to Boomers Stadium with free admission, free parking and free fireworks at the Inaugural Schaumburg Boomers Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular on Tuesday, July 3rd from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Boomers Stadium gates will open at 6 p.m. with entertainers on the concourse, the Levy Restaurants concessions stands open for business and the inflatables in Coop's Kids Corner ready to wear out your little ones. At 6:30 p.m. ten participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try to hit one over the Boomers Stadium wall. Batting Practice will consist of two rounds of 12 pitches forjust $50 so call the Boomers Box Office at 847.461.3695 to participate, butremember there are only 10 slots available!
Looking for an extra-special way to celebrate Independence Day? The Boomers and Levy Restaurants invite you to join us on this night for an all-you-can eat picnic served for 90 minutes in the Boomers picnic area. A ticket to the picnic must be purchased in advance by calling the Boomers Box Office at 847.461.3695 and the menu includes: all-beef hot dogs, charbroiled hamburgers, mustard potato salad, coleslaw, fresh watermelon, assorted cookies, popcorn, soda and water!
The Boomers will invite people onto the field for an 8 p.m. showing of the timeless baseball movie The Sandlot. Bring your blankets (no chairs) onto the outfield grass and watch this classic film with your family on our brand-new Daktronics HD videoboard.
Around 9:30 p.m. when the movie concludes, the rest of the fun begins with the main attraction, the Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular from the best in thebusiness, Melrose Pyrotechnics. It wouldn't be a Boomers event without everyone running the bases to close out the night so stick around after thefireworks and practice your home run trot!
