Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

MIDLAND, Mich. - The TinCaps' three-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night in a 5-0 loss to the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers) at Dow Diamond.

Although it came in a losing cause, former Fort Wayne Mastodons pitcher Evan Miller was impressive in his 2018 TinCaps debut. The LaPorte, Ind., native threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief as he allowed only one baserunner. Miller, who pitched for the TinCaps in parts of the last two seasons, was added to Fort Wayne's roster on Tuesday.

Jordan Guerrero also provided a clean inning of relief. However, Great Lakes (4-12) did its damage early. The Loons took a 5-0 lead across the first four innings, powered in part by catcher Ramon Rodriguez, who hit a three-run homer in the second and added an RBI single in the fourth.

Fort Wayne (7-12) second baseman Esteury Ruiz had half of the TinCaps' four hits, which were all singles.
