MWL1 West Michigan Whitecaps

'Caps, Captains Washed Out

April 24, 2018 - Midwest League (MWL1)
West Michigan Whitecaps News Release

EASTLAKE, OH - Tuesday's scheduled game between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Lake County Captains at Classic Park has been postponed due to steady rain in the Eastlake area.

After a 70-degree series opener on Monday, constant rain through the afternoon make playing conditions unsafe and led to another postponement. Tuesday's rainout becomes the fifth gameday that a Whitecaps game has been called off since the beginning of the 2018 season.

Tuesday's game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 pm. Both games will last seven innings in duration, with a 30-minute break in-between contests. The team is now scheduled to play three doubleheaders in the next five days, including an upcoming five-game series played in a three-day span this weekend against the Lansing Lugnuts.
