Flying Squirrels and SeaWolves Suspended on Tuesday

RICHMOND, Va. - Tuesday night's game between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Erie SeaWolves has been suspended in the top of the eighth inning due to rain and field conditions. The game will resume on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The game will resume in the top of the eighth inning with the game tied, 1-1. Derek Hill is due up for the SeaWolves.

Tickets for Tuesday's game can be redeemed for any of the five remaining home games in 2019. For more information, visit SquirrelsBaseball.com.

Erie took an early lead on a solo home run by Cam Gibson in the second inning before Peter Maris blasted a solo home run to right field against Matt Manning in the bottom of the second inning to knot the score.

Brandon Lawson allowed one run on three hits in 4.2 innings before the game was delayed due to rain in the top of the fifth inning.

The game began at 6:52 p.m. after a rain delay.

Following the completion of Tuesday's suspended game, Richmond and Erie will play a nine-inning contest beginning at 6:35 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game.

Following the completion of Wednesday's games, the Flying Squirrels begin an eight-game road trip featuring four games against the Akron RubberDucks and four games against the Erie SeaWolves. Following the road trip, the Flying Squirrels return to The Diamond on Friday, August 30 for the final homestand of the season, featuring a four-game series with the Bowie Baysox.
