BOWIE, Md. - On Thursday, August 22, Prince George's Stadium will play co-host to the 2019 Baseball Miracles mission trip to the greater Baltimore and Bowie communities (8/21 to 8/24).

The organization will host two free baseball clinics for underserved yet deserving children across Central Maryland. The home of the Baysox will host Thursday's clinic from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while Baltimore's Eddie Murray Field will host a similar clinic on Friday, August 23 at the same times.

To be a part of either free camp, parents must sign a consent form at the front gate of both facilities.

Alex Agostino, a professional scout since 1995 currently with the Philadelphia Phillies, serves as the field coordinator, while Baysox Director of Broadcasting Adam Pohl acts as the trip facilitator.

"The Baseball Miracles team has made a difference around the world," said Pohl. "We are looking to bring a similar experience here to Bowie and Baltimore. Many of these children need more structure in their lives and, with school out for the summer, events like these help give direction and can provide a more prosperous future."

A service trip to Sarah's House, a homeless shelter located just outside of Baltimore, follows the Bowie clinic Thursday afternoon. All kids who attend the Thursday clinic will receive a ticket to the Baysox home game at 7:05 p.m. against the Altoona Curve, Double-A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Bowie Baysox 2019 season is presented by Money One Federal Credit Union. The Baysox will return in 2019 to celebrate their 27th Season. To keep up with Baysox news during the season, visit baysox.com and be sure to follow the Baysox on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Snapchat.
