Evansville, Indiana: The red hot Freedom came into last night's game looking to clinch the series victory over the Evansville Otters, but fail to score enough runs to overcome Otter pitching, losing 4-2.
Three out of the seven Freedom hits were extra base hits, only one of those scored. Kyle Geswein snapped out of his homerun slump, by smacking his 19th homerun of the year. Mike Galloway added two hits in four ABs.Trevor Hall doubled in the second, Scott Martin followed him up with a double scoring Hall, but the Freedom failed to score Martin. Clint Chauncey got the start at catcher, and he went 1-4.
Florence loses no ground on the Wild Things, Washington finally lost, ending their 13 game winning streak, while John Martinez of Chillicothe picked up his record breaking 14th win of the season. Florence looks to take the series in Evansville tonight, at 8:05 in Evansville. The Freedom return home tomorrow for a weekend series against the Chillicothe Paints, first game being Friday, first pitch scheduled for 7:05.
