
Don Nehlen to Debut with Washington Wild Things

Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, announced WVU's Don Nehlen will be at Falconi Field this Friday to throw out an honorary first pitch!
"It looks like he's decided to try his hand at baseball since he's reached the pinnacle in football!" said John Swiatek, managing partner for the Frontier League's winningest team, the Washington Wild Things. "We're looking forward to his visit with us. We know he'll appreciate our style of play....we play to win, just like he did."
Nehlen, who is the winningest football coach in WVU history served as Mountaineer coach from 1980-2000, posting a 149-93-4 record in Morgantown. Nehlen was one of the five winningest coaches in the nation when he retired in 2000.
The first place Wild Things face the Richmond Roosters at Falconi Field for a three-game set beginning Friday when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
