Crestwood, IL - In the last 12 innings he's worked, Bolts righty Josh Glynn has surrendered just 1 earned run. River City was Glynn's most recent conquest Thursday night. The Bolts completed a 9-game homestand with a winning record as they squeaked past the Rascals 3-1.

River City drummed up 8 hits in the ball game and threatened to score on a few occasions. Mike Madrid and Nick Saunders scratched out consecutive hits with 2 out. But Glynn induced a roller to 3rd off the bat of ex-Bolt Jon Wright.

In the 4th, Nick Saunders and Jon Wright stood on 2nd and 3rd, respectively, with just a lone out. Glynn, though, got Justin McKinley to strikeout and David Arnold's fly ball to Nick Ewen in right 86-ed the rally.

For the 6th time on the 9-game homestand the ThunderBolts plated a 1st-inning run. Doug Schutt led the offensive off with a double, he was sacrificed to 3rd by Clemente Bonilla and Nick Klusaw lifted a sacrifice fly to center.

The Bolts garnered their next tally in the 5th when Schutt again began the volley with a double. Clemente Bonilla shipped a single to center and the Bolts snared the lead back at 2-1. River City had evened the game in the away half on a Nick Saunders base knock.

The final run came across on Jason Crosland's solo homer in the 8th inning. He launched a 1-0 pitch to left-center against reliever Jonathan Kars.

Brandon Kellbach followed Glynn's one-run performance with 2 innings of scoreless ball of his own. Chris Hayes achieved his 4th save of the homestand and 7th overall. Hayes hasn't permitted an earned run to cross since July 16th. That spans 10 innings and two-thirds.

The ThuderBolts concluded their lengthiest home stretch of the season at 5-4. The Bolts won 2 of the 3 imbedded series.

Tomorrow begins a 3-game set against the division-leading Kalamazoo Kings at Homer Stryker Field in Michigan. Righty Scott Anderson mans the bump for the T-Bolts. He took the loss Sunday against Ohio Valley.

You can find every pitch of the game starting at 6:30 central time on WJOB AM 1230 or at www.wjobcalpress.com. The broadcast will be tape-delayed by an hour.
