Flames Acquire Akim Aliu

Abbotsford Heat News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today the acquisition of forward Akim Aliu from the Winnipeg Jets organization in exchange for defenseman John Negrin.
The Heat are currently on break for the AHL All-Star Classic; Abbotsford resumes action in Rochester on February 2nd for their first meeting of the season against the Americans. Clay Wilson, Krys Kolanos and Brian Connelly are in Atlantic City taking part in the annual AHL All-Star game. The trio will re-join the team in Rochester in early February.
