Blue Jackets Recall Forward Joudrey and Defenseman Savard

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled center Andrew Joudrey and defenseman David Savard from the Springfield Falcons, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

Joudrey, 27, has registered seven goals and eight assists for 15 points, 10 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 42 games with Springfield this season. Signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 1, 2011, he spent the previous five years in the Washington Capitals organization. Washington's fifth pick, 249th overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft, he has tallied 49-69-118 with 85 penalty minutes and a +47 plus/minus rating in 321 career AHL games.

Savard, 21, has collected five assists and 10 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has also picked up 3-11-14, 38 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 28 games with Springfield. Columbus' third pick, 94th overall, in the 2009 Entry Draft, he made his professional debut with Springfield in 2010-11. He tallied 11-32-43 and 18 penalty minutes in 72 games, leading club defensemen in goals, assists and points and ranking eighth (tied) among AHL defensemen in goals and 14th (tied) in points.
