WORCESTER, Mass. - Jesse Joensuu and Dustin Kohn each recorded two goals and an assist, Joel Martin made 39 saves and the Sound Tigers scored five unanswered goals to beat the Worcester Sharks 6-3 at DCU Center in Worcester. The Sound Tigers move back to .500 with the win and sit at 19-19-3-3. The Sharks drop to 20-18-2-5.

The Sound Tigers scored the first goal of the game at 14:16 of the first period. After a sustained shift in the Worcester zone, the puck made it's way to Dustin Kohn at the point. The Sound Tigers blue-liner one-timed the loose puck past Worcester goaltender Alex Stalock for his first goal of the year to give the Sound Tigers a 1-0 lead. The Sharks knotted the score with just 25.3 seconds remaining in the first period. A shot from the point knocked into traffic in front of Sound Tigers netminder Joel Martin, and the puck found Tommy Wingels who knocked it past Martin to tie the game at one heading to the first intermission.

Matt Irwin gave the Sharks a lead 4:37 into the second period. Mark Katic went off for a cross-check and Worcester converted on the ensuing power play. Irwin's shot from the point made its way through traffic, caromed off the post and in to put Worcester in front 2-1. The Sharks increased that lead to 3-1 on Dan DaSilva's goal just 2:25 later.

Worcester misplayed a pass back towards their own zone, and Jesse Joensuu began the Sound Tigers comeback. The puck slid behind the defense, allowing Joensuu to come in on a breakaway. Joensuu deked and slid the puck past Stalock for his fifth goal of the year to cut the deficit to 3-2 at 11:08 of the middle period. T.J. Trevelyan's goaltender interference penalty late in the period allowed the Sound Tigers to tie the game. Joensuu's rebound attempt in the slot was stopped, but Rob Hisey found the rebound and backhanded it past Stalock to tie the game at three headed to the final period.

Joensuu provided the spark the Sound Tigers needed to begin their comeback, and the Pori, Finland native notched what turned out to be the game-winning goal midway through the third. Joensuu chased down a dump-in from Hisey and fired a sharp-angle shot from the left corner that handcuffed Stalock and bounded in to give the Sound Tigers a 4-3 lead at 10:07. Jonathan Cheechoo's hooking penalty gave the Sound Tigers a power play less than a minute later, and the Sound Tigers increased the lead on the man-advantage. Mark Katic skated the puck in behind the net and found Justin DiBenedetto in the slot, and the Mississauga, Ont. native's one-timer beat Stalock to put the Sound Tigers up 5-3. Dustin Kohn's clearing attempt from behind the Sound Tigers goal line banged off the glass and all the way down to an empty Worcester net with 1:45 left in regulation, and the Sound Tigers came away with a resounding 6-3 win.

Joel Martin made 39 saves to earn his first win as a Sound Tiger and his first AHL win since the 2006-07 season. Joensuu and Kohn each recorded three points, and Jason Pitton and Rob Hisey added two points as well.

The Sound Tigers look to build off tonight's road win tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Springfield to face the Falcons at 3:00 p.m.
