In the last of the fourth inning, Stewart was hit by a pitch. D. J. Wabick doubled to right field putting runners on second and third with two outs. Shawn Bowman (2-for-4, 3B, 2B) followed with a double driving in both runners as the Mets opened a 3-0 lead.
The Fisher Cats (34-44) took the lead in the top of the fifth inning. Darin Mastroianni led off the inning with a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. He then stole third base and scored on a single to left field by Bryan Kervin (2-for-4, 2 R, RBI) to make it 3-1 in favor of Binghamton. Todd Donovan (2-for-5, R) and Adam Calderone (2-for-3, R, RBI) followed with singles off losing pitcher Eric Brown (4-8).
