ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Fireflies and GreenJackets combined for 30 hits on Friday night, but Columbia fell, 19-7, in game two of the four-game set. Patrick Mazeika, Luis Ortega and Vicente Lupo each drove in a pair of runs.

MONEY MAGS: Right-hander Johnny Magliozzi extended his scoreless-innings streak out of the bullpen to 10 on Friday. The Milton, Massachusetts, native has lowered his ERA by nearly two full runs during this impressive stretch. Overall, Magliozzi has not allowed an earned run to cross in his last 13.1 innings pitched.

TONIGHT'S STARTER: Columbia leans on Kevin Canelon to set the tone in game three of the series. In two starts against Augusta this season, the Venezuelan lefty has a 2.25 ERA.

MEET THE PARENTS: Former South Atlantic League standout, 2013 Savannah Sand Gnat Brandon Nimmo will make his major-league debut Saturday night in Atlanta when the Mets, Columbia's parent club, take on the Braves. A first round selection of New York in 2011, Nimmo is the first draft pick of Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson to make it to the big show. Alderson visited Spirit Communications Park back on April 27 to present the Fireflies coaching staff with their 2015 National League Championship rings.

SALUTE TO ARMED FORCES: Saturday night will be a special one at Spirit Communications Park. The Columbia Fireflies recognize all personnel of the United States Armed Forces. 1,000 tickets were distributed to the three main military bases in the Columbia area, Fort Jackson, Shaw Air Force Base and McEntire Air National Guard Base. The team's Military Monday discount ($2 off All-Star and Reserved Seats) is also available to everyone with a valid Military ID. The Fireflies players will wear camouflage jerseys to honor those who defend our freedom.
