The Hagerstown Suns built an early lead and went on to a 7-2 win over the Lexington Legends in front of 6,546 fans Saturday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Victor Robles led off the game with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Max Schrock. Consecutive singles by Grant DeBruin, Rhett Wiseman and Matthew Page produced a second run.

The Legends answered in the bottom of the first with a solo homer by D.J. Burt, but the Suns came back with two more runs in the second inning. Austin Davidson led off with a single and moved to second on a wild pitch. After Edwin Lora popped out, Telmito Agustin doubled to left field, scoring Davidson. Agustin was caught stealing third, but Robles and Schrock followed with back-to-back doubles, and the Suns led 4-1.

A homer by Jecksson Flores in the bottom of the third made the score 4-2, but Hagerstown added a run in the sixth when Cody Dent's bunt single scored Jakson Reetz from third base.

DeBruin hit a two-run homer for Hagerstown in the seventh to close out the scoring.

Hagerstown starter Pedro Avila (6-5) allowed two runs on three hits in five and two-thirds innings to get the win. He struck out eight batters and walked two.

Legends starter Nolan Watson (2-7) was the losing pitcher.

Hagerstown has won the first three games of the series, which concludes Sunday. Game time is 2:05 p.m.
