
Final Curve Home Series Begins Tonight

ALTOONA- The Curve will open their final regular season home series tonight at 7:05 PM at Blair County Ballpark against the Reading Phillies. The two teams will play a four-game series through Thursday. All games will begin at 7:05 PM.
The series begins tonight with the final Curve Idol Series appearance of the season presented by the New AT&T. Former American Idol finalist Ace Young will appear at BCB to sing the national anthem, sign autographs, throw out the first pitch and mingle with fans throughout the game. The Curve will also commemorate their 2007 mid-season all-stars with the Curve All-Star Poster Giveaway presented by WHPA (First 3,000 Fans, All Ages).
The Curve Retro-Celebrity Series will wrap up for 2007 with an appearance by Anson Williams on Tuesday night. Best known for his role as "Potsie Webber" on the wildly popular television show Happy Days, Williams will throw out the first pitch and be available throughout the ballgame for autographs and pictures.
Back-to-back fireworks spectaculars will close out the home schedule for the Curve. Gallikers Dairy Company will present a post-game fireworks display following Wednesday's game. Also on Wednesday, fans will have the chance to win great prizes by participating in Blair Candy Baseball Bingo during the ballgame.
Thursday's game marks the final home regular season home date for the 2007 season. To celebrate the conclusion of their ninth season and their fans, the Curve will hold FANdemonium featuring prize giveaways and team awards. The evening will begin with Curve Happy Hour presented by the Hotel Belmar featuring live music and food specials on the Toyota Party Deck (5-7 PM). Following the ballgame, Blair Candy Company will present a fireworks spectacular to close the season. Also, the Curve will host a season-ending team party at the Hotel Belmar following the ballgame.
