Fear the Walking Dead Highlights Upcoming Express Homestand

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express are packing as much fun as possible into their upcoming eight-game homestand at Dell Diamond. The E-Train returns home on Friday, May 4 to open a four-game set against the Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate) before hosting the New Orleans Baby Cakes (Miami Marlins affiliate) for four games.

The LEGO Let's Play Tour makes a stop at Dell Diamond from May 4-6. The Tour provides an interactive opportunity for kids to have fun with building tables for creative play, family challenges, photo opportunities with life-size LEGO models and a chance to build and launch your own LEGO creations down a race ramp.

The team's annual Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Texas Oncology, is set for Friday, May 4 as the Express and their fans show signs of support for those currently fighting and honor those who have both battled and treated the disease. Round Rock native Rylie York will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The Round Rock High School senior was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma.

Friday's game is also a Brew Review, as Brown Distributing will be sampling different offerings in the Nolan Ryan's Beef Fireball Grill. The night will conclude with Bud Light Friday Fireworks.

Pitchers won't be the only ones fearing "walkers" on Saturday, May 5 as the Express host Fear the Walking Dead Night. The team will be rebranding as the Round Rock Armadillos to pay homage to the fictional team from the hit show's fourth season. The Armadillos jerseys will be auctioned during the game with proceeds benefiting the Round Rock Area Serving Center.

The Express partnered with AMC to bring production of Fear the Walking Dead to Central Texas with Dell Diamond serving as a primary set location. Danay Garcia, who plays Luciana in the show, will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. An exclusive photo opportunity with "walkers" and props from the fourth season will also be available.

Saturday's 6:05 p.m. first pitch also features a postgame concert by The Spazmatics as part of the St. David's Summer Concert Series, presented by Dell. Additionally, the first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2018 Round Rock Express team photo, presented by D&L Printing, as part of A+ Federal Credit Union's Saturdays at the Ballpark.

The Express invite fans to bring their four-legged friends to the ballpark on Sunday, May 6 for Bark in the Park, presented by Action Pack Dog Center. Fans can use promo code BARK when purchasing tickets online to receive a special $7 lawn ticket with a portion of proceeds going to the Williamson County Animal Shelter. All dogs must have a lawn ticket to attend.

After $1 Hot Dogs and Sodas thanks to Mrs Baird's on Monday, May 7 and Half-Price Tuesday, presented by M/I Homes on Tuesday, May 8, the Express host Autism Awareness Night on Wednesday, May 9. In-game music and audio will be kept a little lower and the Express will be offering menu items for those with dietary restrictions as well as a sensory-friendly room.

The Round Rock Chupacabras make their second appearance on Thursday, May 10 as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión campaign, a season-long initiative to embrace the cultures and values that resonate with local Hispanic and Latino communities. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Thursday will receive a glow-in-the-dark Round Rock Chupacabras t-shirt, presented by RockSports.

The homestand concludes on Friday, May 11 with Star Wars Night. The Force will be strong at Dell Diamond as the team celebrates the iconic film series, complete with a postgame Bud Light Friday Fireworks show.
