Today's Game: The Aces return to Greater Nevada Field with a two-game winning streak. Right-hander Jake Buchanan will take the mound against Tacoma Rainiers (13-14) righty Rob Whalen (3-1, 4.45). This is the first time the Aces have been in Northern Nevada since April 23.

About Last Night: The Aces concluded a nine-game road trip with a series victory over El Paso Thursday night. Right-hander Troy Scribner made one of his best starts of the season, going six innings and striking out six. Reno defeated the Chihuahuas 6-5 in front of a crowd of 6,189 at Southwest University Park. Four Aces finished with multiple hits and as a team, Reno had 11 total hits.

47 Over 4: Reno's pitching was dominant during the four-game series with El Paso. The Aces pitching staff struck out a total of 47 Chihuahuas during the four-game period, their most during a series this season. Bradin Hagens led the way with eight in his start on Monday was the most on the team. Aces pitchers K'd 17 Monday, nine Tuesday, 9 Wednesday and 12 tonight.

History Made: The Reno Aces Baseball Club has named Emily Jaenson General manager, the team announced today. Jaenson is the second person to hold the role of General Manager for the Aces, and the first female GM in the Pacific Coast League in nearly two decades. Jaenson will assume day-to-day baseball and business operations and report to team President, Eric Edelstein.

Walkin' Away: The Aces pitching staff has walked a total of 118 batters this season, fifth most in the Pacific Coast league. Left-hander Jared Miller leads the team with 16 and starter Taylor Clarke is close behind with 13. In 27 games, the Tacoma Rainiers have drew 153 walks, most in the Pacific Coast League by 31. Three Rainiers are in the top five in base on balls (Herrmann-21, Muno-21, and Hague-19)

Major Month: Didi Gregorius (NYY) and A.J. Pollock (ARI) were honored as American League and National League Players of the Month this week by Major League Baseball. Pollock hit nine home runs, two triples and eight doubles in 114 plate appearances while scoring 20 runs. He also stole six bases for the D-backs, who were 20-8 entering the month of May. The 28-year-old Gregorius hit .330 during the first full month of the season (.333 overall) and is currently tied for the major league lead with 10 homers and leads the league with 30 RBIs and a .735 slugging percentage. Pollock has appeared in 130 games with the Aces and Gregorius has played 64 games with Reno.

Reno's 150th Birthday: Tickets are available for "The Biggest Little Birthday" Reno 150 celebration and Aces game on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Greater Nevada Field. The event starts at 4:00 p.m., and gates open at 5:00 p.m. The year-long celebration will come to an end at Greater Nevada Field with all tickets being FREE.
