Fans Vote Spencer Asuchak As February Player Of The Month

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- #14 Spencer Asuchak took the majority of fan votes as the Cougars Most Valuable Player between January 19th and February 23rd. Asuchak will join Darrell Hubbell on the red carpet at Wednesday's game as he is named the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month.

Asuchak, who the Cougars acquired from the Tri-City Americans in November, is among the Cougars leading scorers in February, with two goals and three assists for five points. Asuchak began the month with a two point game against the Edmonton Oil Kings on February 5, which saw the 6'4", 210 pounder from Kamloops score his first game winning goal as a Cougar. Since joining the Cougars, Asuchak has seven goals and 10 assists in 36 games.

Each month the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month, as chosen by the Prince George Cougars fans, has received a gift certificate for Shogun courtesy of Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths. The player to earn the most cumulative votes in 2009/2010 will be presented with a one of a kind, handmade Darrell Hubbell original Prince George Cougars ring at the final regular season game. Voting will remain open until March 9th, at which time all cumulative votes will be added; the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Year will be announced at the final game of the season on March 10th.
