SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Chris Bourque scored his sixth goal of the season, but the Springfield Falcons scored three power play goals to erase a 3-0 deficit and Ryan Russell capped a four-goal comeback en route to a 4-3 overtime win over the HERSHEY BEARS on Friday night at MassMutual Center.

The BEARS opened the scoring at 11:36 of the opening frame. Jacob Micflikier completed a scoring play by taking a backhand, behind-the-back pass from Cody Eakin while driving to the net and burying a shot high behind Falcons netminder Danny Taylor. Boyd Kane earned the secondary assist by starting the play from his knees while in the neutral zone.

Mitchell then made it a 2-0 game when he backhanded a shot along the ice and underneath Taylor, with assists from Maxime Lacroix and Keith Aucoin. The goal came while the BEARS were working on a delayed penalty call.

Bourque made it 3-0 at 8:14 of the second, completing a two-on-one rush with Aucoin by tapping a shot underneath Taylor.

But the Falcons began their comeback at 12:53, when Dane Byers deflected a David Savard shot past Braden Holtby for a power play strike. Tomas Kubalik brought the Falcons back to within a goal at 17:10, finishing a pass from Wade MacLeod for the second power play goal of the period.

Cam Atkinson then slapped home a cross-crease feed from Martin St. Pierre at 14:17 of the third to tie the score. Russell's heroics came at 3:04 of overtime, when he broke in alone from the blue line and beat Holtby with a snap shot.

Holtby falls to 2-3-0 on the season, making 23 saves on 27 shots. Taylor improves to 3-1-0, turning aside 33 shots.

The BEARS finished the night 0-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-5 on the penalty kill.
