OVERVIEW

The Houston Aeros (4-1-0-2, 10 pts.) begin their third straight three-in-three weekend, starting at San Antonio against the Rampage (3-2-0-0, 6 pts.) on Friday. Entering the weekend, the Aeros occupy the No. 2 spot in the American Hockey League's Western Conference.

Saturday --- vs. Oklahoma City Barons (7:35 p.m. CST)

Sunday --- vs. Charlotte Checkers (5:05 p.m.)

LAST WEEK

The Aeros earned five out of a possible six points last week with wins on Friday at Charlotte (3-2) and Sunday at home against Grand Rapids (3-1). The team earned a shootout point on Saturday at Charlotte (2-1 SOL).

AEROS/RAMPAGE SEASON SERIES

This is the second of 12 games between the teams this season... The teams next meet for games on Dec. 6 at SAN and Dec.9 at home... The teams last met on Oct. 15 at HOU. The Rampage won 4-3 in the shootout.

---Carson McMillan sat out last weekend and will complete his four-game suspension Friday at San Antonio.

---Casey Wellman has at least a point in all but one game this season. Wellman leads the Aeros with seven points (5-2=7).

---Justin Fontaine scored his first AHL goal on Oct. 15 and added a shootout goal.

--- Kyle Medvec made his pro debut on Sunday and registered two shots on goal

---Kris Foucault scored his first pro goal, the game-winner, on Sunday vs. GR. He also added an assist.

---Drew Bagnall made his season debut at CHA on Oct. 21 after missing the first four games recovering from an offseason injury.

---Jeff Taffe scored with four seconds remaining at CHA on Oct. 21 to win the game for the Aeros. It was his first goal as an Aero.

HACKETT ---Stopped 33 of 34 and 4 of 5 in a 2-1 SOL at CHA on Oct. 22... Made 33 saves in 3-2 win at CHA on Oct. 21... Started the first three games of the season... Made 23 saves and stopped 9 of 11 chances in the shootout (first 8) on Oct. 15 vs. SAN.

ENDRAS ---Stopped 31/32 in 3-1 W vs. GR on Oct. 23... Made first Aeros and North American start at OKC on Oct. 16 turning aside 14 of 16 shots in a 2-0 loss.

POWER PLAY

FUN FACTS

---The Aeros narrowly missed a franchise record for fastest two goals scored with Wellman and McIntyre's eight second burst in the third period on Oct. 21 at CHA. David Oliver and Rob Valicevic scored six seconds apart in a 6-4 loss at Milwaukee on Nov. 29, 1997.

---The Aeros roster features 15 players who spent time with the team last season, including 10 who saw significant time on the ice during the team's run to the 2011 Calder Cup Finals.

---Jon DiSalvatore has played for nine different head coaches in his nine AHL seasons.
