
Aeros walk away with 4-2 win

The Aeros erupted for three power play goals in the second period, won for the fifth time in eight games and have earned at least a standings point in all but one game this season. They are now unbeaten in regulation in four-straight games and lead the AHL's Western Conference with 12 points.
Kris Foucault got the offense started for the Aeros at 3:26 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1. After San Antonio pulled ahead on Greg Rallo's goal at 6:41 of the middle stanza, Genoway knotted it at 2-2 at the 13:56 mark. Taffe's second goal of the season turned out to be the game-winner and came with 42 seconds left in the period. Wellman added an empty-net goal with 25 seconds left in regulation to seal the victory.
Matt Hackett made 30 stops in goal as the Aeros improved to 5-1-0-2.
The Aeros return to Toyota Center on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. for $1 hot dog night against the Oklahoma City Barons.
