SPOKANE, Wash. - Peter Fairbanks had a season-high six strikeouts, Jamie Potts hit a home run off the scoreboard, and the Spokane Indians edged the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 4-3, winning the series, in front of 4,010 fans on Sunday afternoon at Avista Stadium. It was Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson Day, presented by Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson, KHQ, 98.9 KKZX and The Spokesman-Review.

Fairbanks lowered his ERA to 3.40, and now has 34 punch outs for the season.

Connor McKay hit a triple off the wall in the second to plate Sherman Lacrus. With Potts up to bat next, a wild pitch brought home McKay from third to give Spokane a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

The in the fifth, with Doug Votolato on first, Yeyson Yrizarri hit a bloop single to right field to advance the outfielder to third. An errant throw got past first baseman Chris Shaw, allowing Votolato to score to give Spokane a 4-1 advantage.

Dario Beltre relieved the starter in the sixth, but was yanked after giving up two runs and collecting just two outs in favor of the local Dan Scheibe. Scheibe allowed one hit in 1.2 innings.
