Dust Devils Rough up Hawks

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release


Th e Tri-City Dust Devils beat the Boise Hawks 11-4 Saturday night at Gesa Stadium. The Dust Devils (9-8 Second Half) (31-24 Overall) took advantage of some sloppy play by the Hawks (4-13 Second Half) (18-37 Overall), who committed five errors, gave up eight walks, and hit two Dust Devils batters on the night. Only five of Tri-City's runs were earned.

Kodie Tidwell had three hits and two stolen bases for the Dust Devils. Jose Carlos Urena and Henry Charles each had two RBIs. Ty France, Mason Smith and Carlos Belen each had an RBI. Justin Pacchioli had two hits in the game.

Boise's Kevin Padlo had a three run home run, his second home run of the series. Brian Mundell had an RBI for Boise. Wesley Jones had two hits and a stolen base. Tyler Massey had a hit and a stolen base. Carlos Herrera had a hit and a stolen base as well.

Tri-City starting pitcher Emmanuel Ramirez pitched four innings. Ramirez had four strikeouts and gave up four runs on six hits. Elvin Liriano (4-1) got the win in relief. Liriano had five strikeouts in his outing.

Starting pitcher Ryan McCormick pitched three innings for the Hawks. McCormick had three strikeouts and gave three runs on six hits. Cesar Villarroel (0-3) received the loss. He pitched one inning, striking out one batter and giving up two runs on two hits.

The Dust Devils and Hawks will play the final game of their five game series Sunday night at Gesa Stadium . The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a poster thanks to the Tri-City Herald. Walker Lockett will start the game for Tri-City while Colin Welmon will start for Boise.
