Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves look for a series win as they take on the Reading Fightin Phils in the rubber game of a three-game set at First Energy Stadium. Last night, the SeaWolves notched their ninth shutout win of the season as they took down Reading 3-0. Alex Faedo struck out a career-high 12 batters in 6.1 scoreless innings. The 12 strikeouts were the most by an Erie pitcher since April 29, 2006. Anthony Castro starts the series finale for the 'Wolves and coming off his worst outing of the season on May 25 against Bowie. In one-plus inning out of the bullpen, the right-hander surrendered a season-high six earned runs on four hits while walking three and striking out one. Mauricio Llovera toes the rubber for Reading having allowing two or more earned runs in each of his past four starts. His last start on May 24 at Harrisburg, Llovera received the loss after giving up five earned runs on six hits in 4.1 innings. He walked one and hit a pair while striking out five. The right-hander joined the Philadelphia Phillies organization in 2015 as an 18-year old free agent from Venezuela.
