ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves will meet the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. The âWolves took the first game of the series 9-3 on Tuesday night and fell 8-3 on Wednesday. The loss snapped Erie's season-best seven-game winning streak. Since the all-star break, the âWolves are 19-9 and the team is in fourth place in the Southern Division, 15 games behind first place Akron and Bowie. Erie is also 10-2 in the month of August. The SeaWolves are 5-1-1 in series following the break. Erie is in a stretch of 12 straight games against Northern Division opponents. The SeaWolves and Rock Cats meet six times in a span of 10 days. The âWolves are the hottest team in the EL, winning eight of their last 10 and 10 of their last 12 games...The Rock Cats are in last place in the Northern Division, 23 games out of first place. They are 5-5 in the last 10 games and last night's win over Erie snapped a two-game slide...Ryan Roberson is listed as day-to-day with back spasms and is out of the lineup for the second straight night...Righty Guillermo Moscoso takes his unbeaten record to the mound making his third start in a SeaWolves uniform. Moscoso beat Reading in his first two starts. In his last outing, he went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits with no walks and nine strikeouts. Moscoso has struck out 19 batters in 12 innings with the âWolves. Opponents are batting .167 against Moscoso...LHP Ryan Mullins makes his 27th appearance and 21st start for New Britain. He too a loss in his last start against Bowie going six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts. He is 0-3 in his last four starts.
