ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to get back to their winning ways after falling to the first time this season on Monday night, 12-5 to the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals). The 'Wolves are looking to avoid dropping back-to-back games for the first time this season...The Senators enter tonight's game as the top hitting team in the EL batting .324. The Sens have won three of their first four games including taking two of three from Akron in the club's opening series of the season...The 'Wolves entered last night's game fresh off of a four-game sweep of the winless Bowie Baysox. Erie is currently at 4-1 and is tied with Reading atop the Southern Division. The 'Wolves have gotten to the four-win mark in three fewer games than last year's club. Erie did not pick up its fourth win until April 16 of last season...Rigitie Josh Rainwater makes a spot start tonight for Erie. Rainwater picked up a win in his only relief appearance against Bowie in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. He made eight starts last season and has started 58 games in his career...RHP Ismael Ramirez takes the mound for the Senators. Ramirez was a minor league free agent pickup for the Nationals in the off

season. He has spent parts of the last three seasons in the EL with New Hampshire. Ramirez went 1-1 with a 5.70 ERA in six games for the Fisher Cats in 2007...The 'Wolves have one more game remaining on the current seven-game road trip tomorrow afternoon against Harrisburg before returning for their home opener Thursday.

TODAY'S NOTABLES -

- The SeaWolves are 4-1 on the road.

- Erie is 1-1 in night games.

- Harrisburg holds a 1-0 advantage over Erie in the season series. The SeaWolves and Senators meet 21 times in 2008.

- Erie is looking to break a trend following playoff seasons. In the nine-year history of the SeaWolves at the Double-A level, the club has never appeared in back-to-back post-seasons.

- The 'Wolves enter tonight's game ranked fourth in the league with a .270 team

batting average.

- The 12-runs Erie gave up on Monday night were the most runs yielded by the club through the first five games of the season. The previous high was six runs in game two on Saturday's doubleheader against Bowie. The seven-run losing margin was also the largest of the season.

- Jeff Frazier, the 'Wolves team leader with seven RBI, was held hitless for the first time this season in game one against Harrisburg.

- The SeaWolves will resume their normal rotation on Wednesday against Harrisburg as LHP Jon Connolly takes the mound for the second time this season.

- Freddy Guzman leads the 'Wolves and is tied for second in the EL with three stolen bases. Erie is tied for second in the league with eight stolen bases as a team.
