Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Senators offense was finally shut down on Tuesday night in falling to the Erie SeaWolves 3-2. However, Luis Jimenez continued his hot hitting with jolting two long home runs in the losing effort.

Will Rhymes hit a three-run home run with one-out in the third to give Erie a 3-1 lead. His home run followed Luis Jimenez's solo home run for the Senators in the bottom of the second inning to give the Sens a 1-0 lead.

Jimenez hit his second home run in the seventh, a solo homer over the 400' sign in center field to trim the lead to 3-2. But that was all the Sens would score on the night. They did have a golden opportunity in the eighth inning when they loaded the bases with no outs, but a pop out and a double play thwarted their chances. Josh Rainwater picked up the win for Erie and Brett Jensen earned his first save of the season for Erie. Senators starter Ismael Ramirez took the loss in his first start of the season. The series with Erie and the season opening homestand concludes on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05pm with the Senators sending RH Bobby Brownlie to the mound against LH Jon Connolly for Erie. Wednesday is the first business person special of the season at Commerce Bank Park.
