Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves look to bounce back in game two of four against the Altoona Curve at PNG Field. Last night, the 'Wolves had a season-high five-game win streak snapped as Altoona walked-off, 6-5 in 10 innings. Trent Szkutnik makes his fourth spot start of the season and has allowed six earned runs in 9.1 innings (5.79 ERA) as a starter. In three relief appearances against Altoona this season, Szkutnik owns a 2.25 ERA (4 IP / ER) with five strikeouts. Brandon Waddell goes for the Curve and is making his fourth start in Double-A this season. The left-hander has logged a 1.15 ERA (15.2 IP / 2 ER) in three career starts against Erie including six shutout innings at UPMC Park on April 14, 2018. Waddell was assigned to Altoona on June 18 after making 21 relief appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis. In 30 innings, the 25-year old recorded an 8.70 ERA while opponents hit .297 off of him. Waddell was selected in the fifth-round by Pittsburgh in 2015 out of the University of Virginia.
