Another Win for Portland, 11-5 at New Hampshire

Manchester, NH - The Portland Sea Dogs (9-8, 36-48) used a six-run fifth inning to beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (5-13, 36-49), 11-5 on Friday night at Delta Dental Stadium. Portland has won six straight games for the first time since April 30-May 6, 2017.

Joey Curletta led the charge knocking home three runs, including the game's first run with a solo-homer (#6) to left. Matthew Kent (4-2) worked six innings on nine hits and three runs to earn the win. Kent established a season-high with six strikeouts.

New Hampshire's Justin Dillon (1-2) took the loss, giving up ten hits and eight runs over 4.1 innings pitched to take the loss.

With the game tied at one, the 'Dogs scored twice in the third inning to take the lead for good. Jarren Duran (4-for-5) led off with a double and scored on a single by C.J. Chatham. Curletta added a sacrifice fly.

Portland put the game away in the fifth inning with six runs, sending ten to the plate. Jerry Downs capped off the big inning with his first Double-A homer, a two-run shot to center. Tate Matheny nailed a two-run homer in the ninth.

Adam Lau worked the final 1.2 innings to earn his sixth save of the season on his 25th birthday.
