
Cumana and Cyr Added to Eastern League All-Star Game Rosters

RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, announced the addition of two players, Reading outfielder Grenny Cumana and Richmond pitcher Tyler Cyr, to the Eastern League All-Star Game rosters on Tuesday. The All-Star Game will be held in Richmond at The Diamond on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Western Division Roster | Eastern Division RosterCumana has been added the Eastern Division roster. A native of Barcelona, Venezuela, Cumana has a .324 batting average with one homer and 16 RBIs over his 44 games with the Fightin Phils this season. His batting average is tied for the second-highest in the Eastern League this season among players with at least 150 plate appearances. This year marks the first All-Star selection of his professional career.
Cyr was added to the Western Division roster. The Richmond reliever has posted a 2.83 ERA in his 21 appearances for the Flying Squirrels this season, added 33 strikeouts over 28.2 innings. The Fremont, Calif. native is tied for fourth in Flying Squirrels franchise history with 22 career saves. The selection is the second All-Star nod of his career. Cyr was an Eastern League All-Star with the Flying Squirrels in 2017.
Cumana and Cyr were added in correspondence with two players, Reading's Mickey Moniak and Erie's Alex Faedo, being unable to participate in the All-Star Game.
