New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, N.H. - Logan Warmoth hit his third triple in 19 Double-A games, but it wasn't enough to lead the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) past the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in a 11-5 loss on Friday night at Delta Dental Stadium.

Warmoth, the 28th overall pick in the 2017 Draft, led off the second inning with a three-bagger to left center and scored on an RBI groundout by Chad Spanberger. It tied the game at 1-1, but Portland controlled the action from there.

After taking a 1-0 lead on a Joey Curletta homer in the second, the Sea Dogs broke the tie in the third with a C.J. Chatham RBI single and a Curletta sac fly.

Portland busted the game open with six runs in the top of the fifth inning which included RBI singles by Curletta and Brett Netzer, as well as a two-run homer by Jerry Downs.

A two-RBI single by Forrest Wall drew the Fisher Cats to within 9-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning, and New Hampshire got two more in the eighth thanks to four walks and a hit by pitch.

A two-run home run from Tate Matheny capped the scoring for Portland at 11-5 in the top of the ninth.

The series with the Sea Dogs continues on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. An Atlas Fireworks Show will follow the contest. For tickets and information, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
