
Eric Godard Rejoins Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the assignment of Right Wing Eric Godard on conditioning loan from the big club. Godard is expected to be in the lineup when the Sound Tigers return from the AHL's All-Star Break to host the Springfield Falcons tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard.
Godard, 23, has one assist and 72 penalty minutes in 26 NHL games with the Islanders this season. The 6'4'' 227-pound native of Vernon, British Columbia notched 48 penalty minutes in 19 games with the Islanders, as well as two goals, two assists, four points and 199 penalty minutes in 46 AHL games with the Sound Tigers last season. Godard holds the Sound Tigers all-time, franchise record with 397 penalty minutes in 113 career games with the team.
The Sound Tigers will also visit Springfield this Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and host the Hershey Bears this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All three of this week's games will be web cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Sunday's game will also be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM pending the completion of University of Connecticut basketball.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
