The Toronto Roadrunners look to continue their recent success as they play three games away from Ricoh Coliseum this week. Toronto begins the week on Wednesday, February 11 when they face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. On Friday, February 13, the Roadrunners travel to Hamilton to take on the Bulldogs. Toronto wraps up the week on Sunday, February 15, when they play the Binghamton Senators at the Corel Centre in Ottawa.
The Roadrunners were victorious in all three games they played last week to establish a new franchise record for most consecutive games won. The Roadrunners began the week by defeating the Binghamton Senators 4-3 on Wednesday, February 4. Toronto then defeated both St. John's (5-2 on February 6) and Rochester (1-0 on February 7) for the first time this season to extend their winning streak to three games.
Morrison Unbeaten in Last Nine Appearances
Roadrunners goaltender Michael Morrison has not lost in his last nine appearances, earning a record of 6-0-1 with two shutouts. Morrison has 1.89 goals against average and a 0.915 save percentage during the stretch.
Roche, Bergeron record first game winning goals of the season
Roadrunners forward Dave Roche and defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron both recorded their first game winning goals of the season last week. Roche tallied the winning marker in Toronto's 4-3 victory over Binghamton on Wednesday, February 4, while Bergeron scored back-to-back game winning goals as the Roadrunners defeated John's (5-2 on February 6) and Rochester (1-0 on February 7).
Lynch Scores in 2004 Pepsi All-Star Classic
Roadrunners defenceman Doug Lynch participated in the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-star Classic on February 8 - 9 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lynch scored the first goal of the game and added an assist as the Canadian All-Star defeated Planet USA 9-5.
Henrich plays in 200th career AHL game
Roadrunners forward Michael Henrich played in his 200th career AHL contest on Friday, February 6 against St. John's. Henrich scored a goal in the Roadrunners 5-2 win.
