BINGHAMTON, New York – The Binghamton Senators announced today that center Shawn Mather (MAY-thuhr) has been signed to a 25-game professional tryout agreement.

Mather, a 5'10, 190 lb. third year pro from Chatham, ON, is third in both goals (14) and scoring (30) in 44 games with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL.

Mather appeared in 40 games last year with the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League, scoring two goals and totaling five points and 12 PIM.

After a two-year, 132 game stint in the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires in which he scored 53 goals and 129 points, Mather made his professional debut with the New Orleans of the ECHL. In 71 games with the Brass, Mather registered 19 goals and 44 points in his rookie campaign.

Mather will be in the lineup tonight as the Binghamton Senators take on the Syracuse Crunch tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena at 7:05 p.m.
