Iowa Wolves News Release

DES MOINES, IA, Jan. 19, 2010 - The Iowa Energy will be playing in front of a national television audience this Saturday night as the VERSUS network will carry the Energy game with Ft. Wayne.

The game marks the first time that an Energy game will be televised nationally, and marks a major step for the team, as well as the NBA D-League. "Teaming up with VERSUS provides us with another great outlet to showcase the incredible talent of the NBA D-League throughout the season," said Dan Reed, President of the NBA D-League. "Last season, 20 percent of NBA players had NBA D-League experience and, through this agreement with VERSUS, more fans than ever will have the opportunity to see many future NBA players in action."

"From a local standpoint, this is a big deal for us, the Iowa Events Center and greater Des Moines. It is a showcase game for our community, and we encourage fans to be a part of it by purchasing your tickets now," said Chris Makris, Energy General Manager. "We have a fun night planned as "Benny the Bull" from the Chicago Bulls will be in town and we will be giving "Benny" bobbleheads out to the first 1,000 fans."

VERSUS' NBA D-League coverage will provide fans with even more access to the game and the players including micing players and coaches during the games, in game interviews, airing locker room and pre-game, halftime and post-game speeches, and increased camera angles.

The game will begin at 7pm, with VERSUS airing it on a tape-delayed basis at 10pm. VERSUS can be found on channel

Tickets for that game, as well as the remainder of Iowa's home schedule are available at www.dahlstickets.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office, or by calling 515-564-8550.
