Rio Grande Valley's Mike Harris Named Performer Of The Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2010 - Mike Harris of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 11, 2010.

Harris led Rio Grande Valley to a 2-1 record last week, including a 2009-10 NBA D-League season high 48 points to go with 24 rebounds in an overtime victory over the Dakota Wizards in Bismark on Jan. 17.

Harris averaged 34.4 points, shooting 58 percent (40-of-67) from the field to go with 14.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. The guard out of Rice is currently second in the NBA D-League ins coring with 27.5 points per game.

Other top performers last week included Erie's Alade Aminu, who averaged 19.7 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games for the BayHawks; Bakersfield's Brian Butch, who averaged 22.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in three games for the Jam; Reno's Desmon Farmer, who averaged 21.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in three games for the Bighorns; Erie's Cedric Jackson, who averaged 26.7 points and 7.7 assists in three games for the BayHawks; Dakota's Renaldo Major, who averaged 21.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in three games for the Wizards; Utah's Luke Nevill, who averaged 20.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in four games for the Flash; Los Angeles' Frank Robinson who averaged 23.5 points and 5.0 assists in two games for the D-Fenders; and Sioux Falls' Reggie Williams, who averaged 25.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games for the Skyforce.
