On the other side of the coin the Jackals have limited Trenton to 2.75 goals per game. The Jackals are looking for back-to-back wins tonight for the first time since Nov. 21 and Nov. 23, and are trying to continue to improve their road numbers. They have claimed four of the last six points available away from First Arena. Trenton, meanwhile, has not won two in a row since October 20 and 26.

Elmira's Jack Downing is working towards earning the nickname of Mr. December because after an assist in last night's win over Orlando he has 10 points (2G, 8A) in five games this month. He leads all Jackals scorers in December and has already made it the most productive month of his pro career. He had nine points (2G, 7A) in the first three games of the month including six points (2G, 4A) in the two prior games in Trenton. Before his three assist night on December 1, Downing had not scored more than two points in a game as a pro. December of 2011 was Downing's most productive month as a rookie with six goals and three assists in 12 games.
