ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Utah's Schultz fined, suspended

Utah's Ian Schultz has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #284, Alaska at Utah, on Dec. 14.

Schultz was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 1:27 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Schultz will miss Utah's game vs. Alaska tonight (Dec. 15).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Colorado's Forney fined, suspended

Colorado's Michael Forney has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in the third period of ECHL Game #287, Colorado at Stockton, on Dec. 14.

Forney is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Forney will miss Colorado's game at Stockton tonight (Dec. 15).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

San Francisco's Curcio fined

San Francisco head coach Pat Curcio has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #285, San Francisco at Ontario, on Dec. 14.

Curcio was assessed a minor penalty and game misconduct under Rule #75.5 at 13:28 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
