
Eagles Fall Again to Steelheads 3-1

BOISE, ID. - The Colorado Eagles (24-14-5-2) faced defeat again against the Idaho Steelheads (24-16-2-3) on Saturday evening at CenturyLink Arena with a final score of 3-1.
Idaho forward Luke Judson found the back of the net first from the top of the circle to give the Steelheads an early 1-0 lead, less than four minutes into the first frame.
Just 3:02 into the second period Judson scored his second goal of the night, tipping a shot into the net from the low slot to extend Idaho's lead to 2-0. Colorado quickly answered less than thirty seconds later as forward Alex Hudson beat Idaho netminder Pat Nagle to cut the Steelheads lead 2-1. Kyle Kraemer picked up the assist for his second point in his first four games with the Eagles.
With 11:20 left in the third Steelheads forward David de Kastrozza bested Colorado goalie Marc Cheverie on a two-on-one breakaway to give Idaho the 3-1 advantage and secure their victory.
The Eagles wrapped up their longest road trip of the season, finishing with a 3-3 record. They now return home to face the Utah Grizzlies next Wednesday and Friday at the Budweiser Events Center.
