TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (29-11-2-3) will head to Bakersfield to play the Condors (19-10-1-3) who have won three of their last four games against each other, with points in all four games. Bakersfield is on a two-game winning streak and the Reign are on a two-game losing streak. The Reign haven't lost more than two games in a row and hope to keep that trend going with a win at Rabobank Arena tonight.
THREE-GAME SNAPSHOT:
The Reign have a few players with multiple points in their past three games despite losing their previous two contests; Van de Mosselaer (2a), Guimond (3a), White (2a), Kitsyn (2a), Brace (1g, 2a), Stalberg, (3g, 1a), Register (1g, 1a), and Burt (1g, 1a).
ON THE ROAD:
As Ontario prepares for their seven-game road trip which will span from Feb. 19 through Mar. 12, they will look to continue their strength away from Citizens Business Bank Arena tonight. With 36 points on the road, the Reign lead the league when playing away from home. Ontario is 17-4-0-2 on the road this season and has a road record of 12-2-0-0 against Pacific Division teams.
ROAD STREAKS:
Mario Lamoureux currently leads the league with his five-game road goal streak with one goal per game. If the forward can keep this streak alive tonight he will tie Tyler Gron who spanned six games with his road goal streak with San Francisco. Cameron Burt is on an eight-game road point streak with 12 points earned in that time. The Reign still hold the season record with their nine-game road win streak which started on Nov. 13 and went until Dec. 27.
WATCH OUT FOR BROSSOIT:
The Condors have a big threat for the Reign between the pipes with Laurent Brossoit. The league-leading goalie has an average of just 1.52 goals-against in 18 games this season. Ontario's average against the goalie is slightly better at 2.33 goals-against, but falls short of what they're used to getting in with their 3.02 goals-for game average.
