The Boise Hawks (23-23) fell to the Tri-City Dust Devils (22-24) by a final score of 4-1 on Tuesday evening. Tri-City takes four of five in the series with Boise as the Hawks could only muster up two hits.
Tri-City scored the games first runs against Hawks starter Alec Byrd. An RBI single for Dwanya Williams-Sutton gave the Dust Devils a 1-0 advantage. It wasn't the last time we'd hear from Williams-Sutton. In the 3rd inning, after Tri-City scored their 2nd run on an RBI fielders choice off the bat of Olivier Basabe, the Dust Devils got another RBI single from Williams-Sutton to take a 3-0 lead.
Boise starter Alec Byrd gave the Hawks four innings on the mound allowing just three runs with only two of them earned.
The Hawks got their first run of the game off Tri-City starter Sam Keating in the 3rd inning. Luke Morgan was hit by a pitch with the bases-loaded and the Hawks trailed at just 3-1 after three.
The Dust Devils added another run on a Justin Paulsen RBI single in the 7th inning. The Hawks got shutout frames in the 8th and 9th innings from Joel Condreay and Keinter Olivares but Tri-City would hang on for a three-run victory.
